I moved here from way outta town (Vegas) and was worried about finding a good mechanic that wouldn't be out to rip me off. I've got two years of auto mechanic training under my belt, but I never could afford to buy all my own tools to do every single kind of repair by myself, so I still take stuff to mechanics (I don't have the time either). So, I have a very watchful eye and a tentative ear. At first, I was apprehensive about them as they seemed slow. Not slow as in stupid, but just as if nothing mattered to them. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find this guy is the real deal. He's been around a long time, and he knows what he's getting into before getting into it. I paid cash up front the first few times I had been to him, but later on, I was short on finances but absolutely needed my Jeep Grand Cherokee fixed (only vehicle). He was willing to work with me and spread out my payment to him so I could still eat and have my vehicle back. This guy is true blue American, doing business the American way, and he'll be my mechanic for as long as I live here.
